My dad mentioned visiting family in Antwerp during WWII. My grandfather Emiel and his wife Antonia Vanhaute were born in Belgium don't have a city as yet. Emiel was born in 1877. My great-grandfather Phillip was born in Belgium. At this time, this is all I know. Thank you for responding. Ann

Parents of Antonia are Alfons VAN HAUTE °May 26 in 1839 February 23 in 1915 and Seraphine Juliana MELIS °June 5 in 1854 July 28 in 1906 . They were married in Vrasene, May 12 in 1874 .
Grandparents of Antonia Carolus Ludovicus MELIS °February 16 in 1795 June 14 in 1868 . Marie Thérèse SUY °January 25 in 1821 September 3 in 1872 . They were married in Beveren, November 3 1847 .
Coincidence : I got married in Beveren too ! And Vrasene is a village next to us (Nieuwkerken-Waas) . These small villages are situated near Antwerp, about 15 min. driving by car
Youngest brother of Antonia Remi VAN HAUTE left port of Antwerp and arrived Ellis Island on July 2 1922 . Ship of travel "Zeeland" . His destination was sister Emma VAN HAUTE and his brother-in-law JOSEPH VAN DER AA . Don't know yet when they did emigrate .
